SKY Difference — On Demand Box Sets Campaign

SYNOPSIS_

In January 2016, I joined Sky’s in-house Motion Graphics department in London as part of a specially assembled team of freelance artists brought in to produce a new series of promos for SKY Difference and its On Demand Box Sets offering.

Under the creative direction of Justin Bates, the campaign marked a shift from Sky’s established CGI pipeline, traditionally centred around tools such as Softimage and Maya. The ambition was to develop and execute the films primarily through Cinema 4D and After Effects, introducing a more agile, design-driven motion graphics workflow.

I joined the team as a Freelance Motion Designer specialising in Cinema 4D and After Effects, contributing to the design, 3D production and animation of one of the four films created for the campaign.

Working closely with the Creative Director, CGI Supervisor, Houdini artist and Flame team, I helped translate the campaign’s visual direction into a fully realised broadcast piece, combining 3D design, animation, compositing and finishing within an integrated production pipeline.
